"I made a strict and careful selection of what, in my opinion, has really influenced the style of the last 100 years. Each of these dresses really changed the course of the history of costume, giving a new aesthetic vision that has anticipated major changes in our society. We may not consider these clothes as art, but the aesthetic vision that they emanate has played an important role in giving strength to the path of emancipation of women since 1900. In many cases it's the dress that has transformed a woman into an icon, but in many others, it's the personality of the women that has enlightened the dress."

MARGE SIMPSON may be many things (doting mother, long-suffering wife, erratic driver), but she's not usually a style icon. Thanks to artist AleXsandro Palombo - known for his irreverent and colourful fashion cartoons - she is now, as he reimagines her in some of the most iconic dresses of all time.

From Geri Halliwell's Union Jack dress and Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's, to a Sixties mini by Mary Quant and Kate Moss posing for Playboy's Sixtieth anniversary issue - Marge has been busy over the last few weeks it seems.

Humor Chic - Karl Lagerfeld "Coco would have hated me" by aleXsandro Palombo

Chanel's head designer Karl Lagerfeld says he thinks the founder of the iconic French fashion house would have “hated” him if they had ever met.

Lagerfeld said he had been a “rude awakening” for the prestigious fashion house, which had “grown dusty” before his arrival in 1982.

“I never bumped into Coco Chanel. It was better that way, she would have hated me,” he told an audience of hundreds of French college students at a masterclass in Paris on Tuesday.

“You have to respect things, but if you want to survive, you have to change them,” he said, recalling how he had “pushed” and “exaggerated” classic Chanel themes.

The couture house this year marked the 100th anniversary of the opening of Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel's first shop in Deauville in the summer of 1913.

Today the label, whose founder died in 1971, has 300 outlets including 185 boutiques in cities such as Sao Paulo, Calgary, New Delhi, Istanbul and Brisbane.

Its creative director Lagerfeld also heads design for Fendi as well as running his own label fashion house, and is famous for his prodigious output.

On Tuesday he joked that was “pushing for a 48-hour day” because he was constantly pressed for time.

“Some people say elegance is dead. They're wrong. It has a new face,” he told the students.

“It's up to us to adapt to the changing times and not the other way around,” said Lagerfeld. “What counts is today.”

Lagerfeld's date of birth has long been a mystery, however in an interview earlier this year he said he was born in 1935.

He also advised the students, from the prestigious Sciences Po school in Paris, not to focus solely on their studies.

“Education is good, but it's not enough,” said Lagerfeld, who left his home in Germany at just 16 to work in the Paris fashion industry. “I never studied, I didn't have time.”

拉格菲尔德在法国电视节目Le Grand 8 里表示，“过于肥胖者”是社会安全的漏洞，也是所有疾病的原因。再加上他曾提到的观点：“没有人想在伸展台上看到丰满(有曲线)的女人。”这些颇受争议的发言惹恼了民众。据法新社报道，该女性团体发言人贝蒂·奥布里埃表示，她们对此忍无可忍，许多年轻女孩为此感到不安，听到那种评论更觉得恐怖。

前几日，“老佛爷”拉格菲尔德对于肥胖者的歧视又闹出风波，法国女性团体“美丽，丰满，性感，我就是我”向法院起诉他“诽谤与差别待遇”的评论，引起一阵争论。而现在，“时尚讽刺画之父”Alexsandro Palombo就赤裸裸的“报复”了老佛爷，看来嘴贱的老佛爷躺着也要中枪。

事件导火线还得从老佛爷说起。在接受采访时，这位时尚大帝就表示，走秀台上，颇具曲线美的模特并不受人待见。此语一处，一片哗然。但这无疑点燃了Alexsandro Palombo创作灵感，在其新作中，包括老佛爷以及女魔头在内的众多时尚先锋人纷纷被黑，个个大腹便便、水桶腰、臃肿不堪，手拿薯条和汉堡，一副猥琐的表情，造成强烈的视觉效应，喜感十足。

其实躺着中枪的不止老佛爷一个人

真正的“时尚女魔头”美国版《VOGUE》主编安娜温图尔一向是时尚圈“骨仙”的代表人物，她在Alexsandro Palombo的笔下也没有节操的变成“吃货”。

日前，拉格菲尔德在法国电视节目Le Grand 8 里表示，“过于肥胖者”是社会安全的漏洞，也是所有疾病的原因。再加上他曾提到的观点：“没有人想在伸展台上看到丰满（有曲线）的女人。”这些颇受争议的发言惹恼了民众。

据法新社报道，该女性团体发言人贝蒂·奥布里埃表示，她们对此忍无可忍，许多年轻女孩为此感到不安，听到那种评论更觉得恐怖。“今天是他污辱我们，明天又会换谁？”她说。

导火索：歧视胖子言论 “老佛爷”遭起诉

老佛爷抨击别人的同时，忘了其实自己曾经也是个大胖子，不过老佛爷为了穿Dior Homme的男装，10年前下了狠心活活减了42公斤，获得了重生。

身为时尚界代表性人物，拉格菲尔德对于身材的严格标准众所皆知，他去年接受《Metro France》访问时，也曾批评英国歌手Adele太胖了，不过有张漂亮脸蛋与极好的声音。对此Adele则表示：“我从来不想像杂志封面的模特儿一样。我代表了大部分的女性同胞，也对此感到非常骄傲。”

虽说服装秀为了展现艺术设计的美感，让模特儿们不得不保持消瘦身材，但艺术毕竟是艺术，身为公众人物的“老佛爷”，以相同的严苛标准来看待大众，会引起反弹一点也不意外。

Ο καλλιτέχνης aleXsandro Palombo με αφορμή την δήλωση του Γερμανού σχεδιαστή Karl Lagerfeld ότι κανείς δεν θέλει να βλέπει μοντέλα με καμπύλες στην πασαρέλα δημιούργησε μια σειρά από cartoons που αν και αφορούν σε ανθρώπους της μόδας, καμία σχέση δεν έχουν με την λεπτεπίλεπτη σιλουέτα τους.

Ο Palombo, που είναι διάσημος για τα αμφιλεγόμενα σκίτσα του, θέλησε έτσι να τονίσει ότι το λίπος στη μόδα, είναι ένα θέμα που αγνοείται: "το να είναι κανείς χοντρός στις fashion business, είναι ένα ταμπού. Ζούμε τεράστιες αλλαγές, αλλά η μόδα ζει στο παρελθόν. 

Τα περιοδικά μόδας γίνονται βαρετά, καθώς συνεχίζουν να προσφέρουν θλιμένες γυναίκες ως ιδανικό, καθρέφτης, προφανώς των fashion editors, κι όχι των αναγνωστών".

Σαν να μην έχει και πολύ άδικο ο Palombo... Πάντως τα σκίτσα του έχουν πολύ πλάκα.

Ya nos deleitó con su arrepentimiento después de haber diseñado para H&M (donde sus prendas se hicieron en todo el rango de tallas. ¡Oh, delito!), o con sus insultos varios a Adele por un lado, y a Pippa Middleton por el otro, a quien confesó que le costaba mucho mirar a la cara.

Ahora, la polémica de la gordura en el mundo de la moda vuelve a salir a la luz gracias a la nueva tira de ilustraciones de AleXsandro Palombo. De su mano, Lagerfeld ha hecho un viaje a ese pasado que no soporta (sí, él también tuvo sus kilitos de más) y junto a él, los personajes más destacados del mundo de la moda se han atiborrado a comida basura. Anna Wintour se hincha a hamburguesas, Donatella Versace luce su vestido strapless rojo en la versión más curvy y Tom Ford enseña barriguita cervecera sentado en su sofá a lo Homer Simpson

Con esto, el diseñador-convertido-en-ilustrador italiano (habitual en salpicar de humor el mundo de la moda más estricta) pretende dar luz a un tema tan polémico como es el de la gordura en la moda: "El hecho de ser gordo sigue siendo un tabú en la moda. Con esta colección, quería hacer un verdadero tributo a este concepto", explicó.

Marc Jacobs, Carine Roitfeld, Ralph Lauren, Valentino... Nadie se ha librado de las curvas del ilustrados. ¡Atenta a sus dibujos!

It's Karl Lagerfeld, Anna Wintour, Marc Jacobs and Donatella Versace as you've never seen them before, filling their face with burgers and overweight. 

Of course, they're only drawings though. 

Artist aleXsandro Palombo reimagined the fashion elite as overweight and filling their faces in food, in these shocking but funny images. 

He wanted to highlight the issue of fat in fashion, a subject he believes is being ignored. 

These images come at a timely manner too, when earlier last week Karl Lagerfeld told an interviewer that 'no one wants to see curvy women on the catwalk'. 

Palombo told the Mail Online: "The topic of [being] oversize is still a taboo in the 

fashion business. With this series, I wanted to do a true tribute to the concept.

 "I think that fashion is chasing obsolete ideals more than suggesting impossible ones.

"We are living [through] big changes but I feel that fashion is living in the past - the 80s are long gone. 

"Fashion magazines are becoming less interesting but they continue to offer sad and boring women as an ideal - they are obviously  the mirror of the editors more than their readers."

而之所以會有這樣的諷刺畫像產生可就要提到老佛爺的新書中有提到一句話”No one wants to see curvy women on the catwalk”，這話一出不免讓人想起，之前老佛爺也批評過英國之名女歌手Adele 的 “a little too fat” 等話語，足足的說出對於豐腴身材的女人，是無法入老佛爺眼中的，更別說是在時尚界裡生存了。也因為這樣的緣故使插畫家aleXsandro Palombo再次的以畫像抨擊這些在時尚界裡眼中只有骨瘦如材的Model們，卻不考量到現實生活中所有體態的女性。
