Humor Chic - Ahmadinejad's trendy turnaround, Evolution of Women.

Where is freedom?
Lately Iran seems to be rethinking certain rules of the past and taking on a more fashionable trend, we might say, probably in order to win middle class votes with the upcoming Parliamentary elections to be held in March 2012. And so the "Chador" which should cover a woman's hair and body could well disappear thanks to a new regulation passed by Teheran's governenment. Women will be able to walk around with their coats unbottoned revealing their bodies and colorful Hijabs leaving their hair uncovered. This new fashion is the regime's attempt to regulate female clothing which, despite restrictions, seems to be out of control, with girls openly defying the police by wearing western clothes and dying their hair blond even if they risk being arrested. While women hope this is a sign of the regime's will to be more open to change, on the other hand religious authorities denounce it as scandalous with the Ayatollahs protesting and reminding everyone of Islam's precepts which demands a tight moral code in public. However the sly Ahmadinejad cannot ignore the fact that 70% of Iranian society is under the age of 35, comprising the majority of those who will soon be expressing their vote. And this is why they have come up with this fashion regulation which certainly does not taste of progress nor of freedom. This is just a sleazy tactic, in a country where a woman called Sakineh is in jail for adultery and has been convicted to death. The old Ayatollahs can still sleep soundly, what do you think?

Humor Chic - Bernard Arnault, when the weight is perfect

Dior after John Galiano. Who will his successor be? If we were to list all the names sprayed about by the fashion press in recent months we could definitely produce a new Encyclopedia of fashion bullshit. The truth, apart from the incessant surreal buzz, is that at the moment creative control is in the hands of an in-house team under the supervision of dear President Bernard Arnault. But don’t be surprised. Managers taking charge of creativity and giving advice on taste has long been customary at LVMH ...
But in all honesty, we have to admit that very few people can aspire to the position. Certainly the only one in our opinion is the incredibly gifted Giambattista Valli, an undisputed and boundless talent who has no reason to mingle with the sea of sleazy names cunningly thrown out by the usual magazine, in accordance with the usual squalid PR team, in its turn in cahoots with the usual squalid journalist. In short it’s a seedy backyard intrigue, to speak clearly. But let's get quit of this sea of bullshit and tell it like it is, because whatever happens we at Humor Chic are highly confident that at this time Mr. Bernard Arnault has already reached his most important objective, to attain a perfect balance!
