Humor Chic - Desiree Rogers, how to lose colour

Humor Chic would like to talk to you about the scandalous scandal perpetrated by Desiree Rogers... so read on. Well, as was to be expected the Great Dame of PR at the White House was fired quite a while ago, as we had anticipated. Is it possible she might end up at Vogue? Why not? After all in fashion, the worst always seem to be the fashion!

Humor Chic Rumor Alert - Lady Gaga to front for Giorgio Armani; firm negotiations are under way for future campaigns

An anonymous source at Giorgio Armani says that firm negotiations are now in their final stages between the fashion house and Lady Gaga, slated to become the new celebrity endorser for the forthcoming Armani campaigns. Lady Gaga would pose for the Giorgio Armani top fashion line and not for the second string of Emporio Armani, and should also feature in the fashion house’s new perfume commercials. The company is beginning a major process of stylistic renewal of its flagship lines, with increasingly aggressive collections instead of the all too classic image that has always cluing to the Armani identity. The economic crisis has plunged many fashion houses into a terrible recession, but at the same time given an enormous boost to Fast Fashion brands, which are growing exponentially. These are the only ones churning out stellar profits capable of taking the choices and habits of consumers in new directions, so undermining the fashion system and its mechanisms, which are becoming increasingly obsolete and irrelevant. Perhaps the message has got through to Giorgio Armani, who is no spring chicken himself, so a major refurbishment is now underway. As a choice Lady Gaga is perfect and will certainly bring a fresh and modern touch to the house allure. Not like the last advertising campaign, which featured the aging pop star Madonna, who’s behind the times and out of fashion. Bravo Giorgio! This time we’re all behind you. Don’t disappoint us, because we’re really eager to see the fresh and captivating elegance of this new Signora Armani, née Gaga!

Humor Chic S.O.S. - Anna Wintour, One Love

The worst way to destroy a woman? Seduce her with passion and then leave her with her heart in pieces. A tragedy, and exactly what that chic spliff smoker, Bob Marley, did in 1975 when he lived a week of fire and passion with Anna Wintour. Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Records, was the one to provide sweet Anna with a backstage pass to Bob Marley's New York concert. And immediately the shaft went to her heart... sorry, I meant the arrow. Anyway the rampant Anna disappeared with the Jamaican demi-god for a whole week, and certainly not to shop at Bloomingdale's, but to test first hand Mr Marley's greatly sought after accessories. Upon her return she literally appeared bowled over, evidently the mix of accessories and smoke had been some experience. However the affair ended there, he went on his way, leaving her broken hearted. Now, 35 years later, it looks like the wound has opened once again: Serge Becker, a renowned impresario in the New York circuit, has decided to open a delightful Jamaican restaurant just a few meters away from Anna's house, in the West Village's chic neighborhood. Sweet Anna was furious and thought it preposterous; a Jamaican restaurant in a quiet historical area would be a threat for children and people's peace and quiet! And so she brought together all the neighborhood's inhabitants to rally against the opening of the delightful "Miss Lily", as it will be called (and unfortunately for her, it is not the name of a Marc Jacobs perfume). Well done Anna, fight for your rights! Come to think of it, children don't wander the streets at night.. hmmm, could it be that Anna is worried about something else... could it be her dishy daughter, Bee Shaffer? Could there be the danger of her meeting a Jamaican semi-god? hummm, now that would be big... trouble!
Humor Chic - Philippe Von Borries and Piera Gelardi, In the Mood for Love

In a few months' time they will be celebrating their second wedding anniversary, a success if you consider that nowadays most couples seem to break up even before they get to the toast after saying Yes! However this is not the case of Philippe Von Borries, creative director and founder of Refinery29, and Piera Gelardi, style director of Refinery29, a wonderful couple to say the least. The invitation to their wedding was both astonishing and unforgettable: a series of back and white shots in which they were portrayed in flirty and affectionate playfulness, with hearts and champagne toasts.
Adorable and super cool!!
What will they do for their anniversary?

Humor Chic Fashion Milk - Kristian Laliberte and Rachel Zoe, work in progress

It’s well known that Rachel Zoe’s super slimness as promising anorexia queen is a topic now attracting a lot of comment, but on the chic heights of Manhattan another truth is being whispered that could prove very awkward. In fact, her anorexia chic seems to be due to Kristian Laliberte, the original and fantastic New York editor of Refinery29. Sssh! Don’t get strange ideas! There’s no love story involved, and you can be sure of this at least... for once! Rather it’s about talent. In fact Mr. Laliberte with his fashion hints, thanks to a great mix of taste, culture and imagination has caused our beloved Rachel a few worries and many sleepless nights. As well as advancing with age there has also been an increase in errors about style hints. And what if Rachel were to team up with Laliberte? That would be much better. After all Rachel Laliberte sounds better and is a lot more chic than ... Zoe!
Humor Chic Fashion Milk - Tom Ford and Diane Von Furstemberg in search of femininity

Uncle Tom has decided to debut with his new women's line and you know he hasn’t got much of a grasp of the subject (at Gucci, apart from a few little men’s items, other people were doing the women’s fashions). All the same, well aware of his creative limitations, it seems he’s trying hard to create an outstanding team and do his best to.... DIRECT. We sincerely hope so!
Humor Chic Fashion Milk - Valentine Uhovski and Brandusa Niro: momma is always momma

Dear Super Chic Valentine Uhovsky is very clear-sighted. He never misses a trick and continues to enjoy well-deserved success. His secret? Intelligence and passion... and the support a great momma!
Humor Chic Fashion Milk - Graydon Carter and Glenda Bailey, a great combination

The cuts made by the editor Graydon Carter at his magazine Vanity Fair could set it on the road to recovery, but apparently they’re not enough. So now good old Carter thinks it advisable to start looking around. But take care, go slow dear old Graydon!

Humor Chic - Valentino, a very chic end

All the worst things were said a few years ago when it was decided to get rid of Alessandra Facchinetti, the previous Creative Director at the Valentino Fashion House, like in the most fierce of witch hunts, accusing her of no longer being to Valentino Garavani's liking... and the consequences did not take long to show. Dear Alessandra suffered a true slaughtering by the media only to be dropped thanks also to the support and the much slandering carried out by many scummy journals who have sold themselves out... many of which had been her friends not that long ago! And Valentino? He was proud of this battle he had won and appeared smug in his infinite ego asserting that the new creative directors he himself had chosen and supported were perfect for the role as they had been formed by his side. The result? Ugly collections and a loss in revenue! And the press continue with their bullshit, everything is beautiful so long as you advertise! What now? Now they are saying they want to try ro relaunch the Maison Valentino with the t-shirt to enter the youth market and hope to make some profits... t-shirts? What genius, what a vision, I must say!
Congratulations, truly a lovely ending for dear Valentino...
next up!
